Soon the shack came into view. I could see a small gathering of our members outside, as well as Gar and Kurt inside (Gar seemed to be holding open the door). I also noticed that there were objects stacked up beside the forms of the humans. Good, they’d brought things. The more materials we had, the better.
But my pleasure at seeing those things dimmed when I saw who had gathered. Two of the girls were there, and so was one of the boys. Elliot. Thankfully it wasn’t Fen. If he were there, he would have stopped me from doing what I was about to do.
I waited a moment, letting Elister run forward and into the shack, where he proceeded to rub all over Gartlinn’s legs, assumingly greeting him. When he wasn’t looking, properly distracted, I started forward, roughly shoving through where the obstructive girls were and pushing them out of my way (they always are in the way when you don’t want them to be). Upon finding myself in front of Elliot, I put my hand on his chest and forced him back up against the wall.
“You,” I sneered, bunching the cloth of his shirt up into my left hand. “You’ve got a lot of nerve, huh? First you brought that worthless nothlit here and almost killed me, and then you had the gall to run away after Elister morphed? What is wrong with you?! Tell me! Is he not worthy in your pathetic little eyes? Is it because your andalite friend disapproved? Why? Why did you run off?”

I winced a bit as Edward shoved me against the wal and began yelling in my face and then back at the girls. He was right, my actions were the wrong ones to make, but these things were just as much his fault. Why had he brought up Elister when he had? In truth it was his fault that he was gutted, but I just couldn’t bring myself to blame him. And then came the question as to why I ran off, and I simply blushed.
“I… I don’t really feel comfortable talking about it in front of everyone. Why I ran off I mean…” then, growing tired and feeling even more embarassed in the position I was in, I did something that I probably shouldn’t have. Something snapped, and I pushed Edward off of me, taking several steps towards the door.
“If you want to talk about it, can we please make it private? And less violent?” I put emphasis into the last word of my question before finally walking into the shack, brushing past Gar. Kurt was giving me a look of worry, but I simply shook my head at him and smiled.
<Are you sure you’re alright? I could hear the host from in here…> He thought spoke to me. He must have just been directing it towards me alone, because nobody made a response to him besides myself.
“Yeah, I’m okay. Let’s just try to keep some distance from Edward today…”
