Character: Noman

“Daren… it’s been a long time. I really just wanted to say my goodbyes to the people here, because, there’s a strong chance that when I embark to go on my journey, I may well not return.” Noman sighed. “I don’t want you to speak just yet. Just listen.”

“I know we haven’t exactly had a great relationship, but, I just want you to know that I respect you. Not like a son, or anything like that – hell, you’re a year older than me! – but, as a brother. Even though you swayed to MBO, and fought against WORLD more than once, I still respected you, and I knew that you were a good person. And… for that reason, I want you to have this.” Noman unbuckled Wolf’s holster, and handed Daren the weapon. The chromed Mark XIX Desert Eagle .50 AE – a truly impressive handgun. One of the most powerful ever made. “It’s called Wolf, and in the short time I’ve been using it, it hasn’t failed me yet. I’ve still got the other one… and I’m giving Wolf to you. Simple as that. Do what you want with it… but just remember me, even if I don’t come back, okay?”

Noman smiled, turned, and walked out through the curtains, the his coat billowing behind him as he walked. He turned to Atlas. “Where’s Marynessa?” He said promptly.

Some shit happens with Atlas…

Noman smiled at Atlas. “Seems like you can’t teach an old dog new tricks… hopefully when I leave, I’ll take my violent ways with me, eh?” Noman laughed, before heading off into Marynessa’s ‘section’.

“Marynessa… you’ve always been somewhat of a little sister to me…” He said, sighing. “I watched you rise through WORLD behind me, always a step behind… the other world, the MBO base, and even Britain… all that, and now, I’ve finally come to realise… I hope what I’m about to tell you isn’t too much of a burden – I can see you’re already weakened.”

Noman took his signature keyring from his pocket, and flipped through to a silver-titanium alloy key, with an extravagant handle and a large spiky key-head on the end. He smiled, and slowly unhooked it, before laying it down beside Marynessa.

“When I leave for this hunt, I intend not to come back. Chances are I’ll meet with you again, but I know why I was reborn… and once I finish what I need to do, I’ll be with Dana again.” Noman’s face darkened slightly, before he snapped out of it and gestured to the key. “And… I’m sorry that this is a bad time… but…”

Noman took a deep breath.

“After I’m… gone… I want you to… lead WORLD.” Noman said, letting it all out and waiting for her reply. “Commander Marynessa Gardaalne of WORLD… sounds good to me.” He said, smiling fondly.

Character: Edward

Soon the shack came into view. I could see a small gathering of our members outside, as well as Gar and Kurt inside (Gar seemed to be holding open the door). I also noticed that there were objects stacked up beside the forms of the humans. Good, they’d brought things. The more materials we had, the better.

But my pleasure at seeing those things dimmed when I saw who had gathered. Two of the girls were there, and so was one of the boys. Elliot. Thankfully it wasn’t Fen. If he were there, he would have stopped me from doing what I was about to do.

I waited a moment, letting Elister run forward and into the shack, where he proceeded to rub all over Gartlinn’s legs, assumingly greeting him. When he wasn’t looking, properly distracted, I started forward, roughly shoving through where the obstructive girls were and pushing them out of my way (they always are in the way when you don’t want them to be). Upon finding myself in front of Elliot, I put my hand on his chest and forced him back up against the wall.

“You,” I sneered, bunching the cloth of his shirt up into my left hand. “You’ve got a lot of nerve, huh? First you brought that worthless nothlit here and almost killed me, and then you had the gall to run away after Elister morphed? What is wrong with you?! Tell me! Is he not worthy in your pathetic little eyes? Is it because your andalite friend disapproved?  Why? Why did you run off?”

I winced a bit as Edward shoved me against the wal and began yelling in my face and then back at the girls. He was right, my actions were the wrong ones to make, but these things were just as much his fault. Why had he brought up Elister when he had? In truth it was his fault that he was gutted, but I just couldn’t bring myself to blame him. And then came the question as to why I ran off, and I simply blushed.

“I… I don’t really feel comfortable talking about it in front of everyone. Why I ran off I mean…” then, growing tired and feeling even more embarassed in the position I was in, I did something that I probably shouldn’t have. Something snapped, and I pushed Edward off of me, taking several steps towards the door.

“If you want to talk about it, can we please make it private? And less violent?” I put emphasis into the last word of my question before finally walking into the shack, brushing past Gar. Kurt was giving me a look of worry, but I simply shook my head at him and smiled.

<Are you sure you’re alright? I could hear the host from in here…> He thought spoke to me. He must have just been directing it towards me alone, because nobody made a response to him besides myself.

“Yeah, I’m okay. Let’s just try to keep some distance from Edward today…”

Quickly I demorphed, and pulled my clothes on, but as I did so I realized that something didn’t feel right… I felt as if I were being watched.

<So, what decision did Gartlinn make, Elliot?>

Kurtmil? He… He was here? How did he know that I had lived here though? So man questions, but I had forgotten to answer his.

“He… he allowed Elister to have the morphing abillity.” I then sat down, pulling my hair back into a ponytail quickly. “Elister morphed a human with all our DNA too.”

<Doesn’t surprise me… That he let the Yeerk touch the Escafil Device I mean…> the Stantler then walked to me and allowed himself to lay before me.

“Does it make you feel any better that Elister cried after morphing?” I then laughed at this, but quickly stopped as I received the nothlit’s harsh gaze.
“…or not.”

<I actually came here on need of shelter, I never expected to find one of you humans here.>

“So, do you want to stay here for the night? We can get up in the morning and go off to the shack?”

At first he seemed shock that I had offered him refuge here, but he then nodded. Slowly I rose from the ground and smiled as I walked towards the door.

“See you in the morning then Kurtmil. G’night.”

I then began to leave, but he stopped me with, <Elliot.> Reentering, I looked to him puzzled, waiting for him to finish.

<Call me Kurt, friend.>

I smiled once more before leaving with a nod. I then sighed and made my way towards my house.

“Good night… Kurt…”

I looked towards the spot where one of the females had fled to upon the completion of my morph, which confused me. “What is wrong? Ong. Ongongongongong. I have morphed, ffffffed, a human correctly, rekht-leeeeeeeey, have I not?” I looked at Edward. “He even said I was cute. Eyute. Whatever that means. Eeans. That is a funny sound. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Ee.” The humans started talking about “clothes,” another word I didn’t know the meaning of. Whatever clothes were, I would be getting some soon.

“Looming over the city of Arkhangelsk, standing atop one of the many towers that dotted the Arkhangelsk skyline, stood Lucia Celtzer. In one hand, a box of grenades, in the other, grenades.”
